Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque will return with their premium event ‘Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Supernova’ this Summer.
Taking place in Sheffield's oldest live music venue, The Leadmill, on Saturday the 12th July 2014. Founded in 1980, The Leadmill has hosted some of the biggest live acts in the world and 'Supernova' will be no exception as it hosts the best in British burlesque talent on the circuit today.
Regarded as Sheffield’s most fun, friendly and affordable burlesque show, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque remains true to Burlesque’s 19th century roots and showcases a style of performance art which incorporates a blend of satire, striptease and broad comedy into a uniquely entertaining Variety Show. Performers and audience members alike, return time after time to enjoy the nostalgic and glamorous atmosphere created by the event, which is reminiscent of old Music Hall and Speakeasy days gone by.
‘Supernova’ aims to raise the bar even higher by showcasing award-winning burlesque acts from all across the country in Sheffield’s oldest live music venue on a glamorous Saturday evening. There will be burlesque, boylesque, dance, vaudeville, fire, comedy, magic, pole dance, cabaret, circus and striptease acts throughout the event.
Our headlining act of the evening is the epitome of vintage glamour, Eliza DeLite. Eliza has sky-rocketed since she first hit the stage in 2008. In 2012 she was crowned ‘Best British Female’ at the World Burlesque Games and has since gone on to perform internationally, including at high profile shows in Las Vegas, Milan, Stockholm, Rome, Switzerland, Istanbul and Berlin. She has established herself as one of the most in-demand performers on the UK circuit, headlining respectable shows across the country and overseas! Her classic Hollywood looks combined with stunning costumes and breathtaking choreography mean that Eliza is a firm favourite with lovers of classic and neo burlesque alike. This July, Eliza will perform the award-winning act which saw her crowned as ‘Best British Female’, as well as one other which has not yet been seen by South Yorkshire audiences.
Joining Eliza will be Al Rudge, and he is one of the most original and bizarre acts to invade the magic and variety scene. His fast paced, razor wit and whirlwind approach to comedy magic has made him a hit. Al has played clubs, burlesque balls, parties, the streets and private functions from London to New York and never fails to leave the audience amazed and laughing. Whether it is, stand up, television or corporate, Al never fails to keep the audience laughing and applauding all the way. Al has opened for the likes of: Alan Carr, Lenny Henry, Jo Brand, Slade, Frost, Rolf Harris, Archie Kelly, John Hegley, Garry Delaney and many more familiar names of television and music.
Next on the bill is the spell-binding Satine Di Monte and her dance partner, Animus. Satine is a unique Burlesque Performer. Known for her tantalizing and dazzling acts and she has been performing since July 09. 2010 saw Satine in the ‘UK’s Top 7 Best New Burlesque performers’ in both ‘Delicious’, ‘Ministry of Burlesque’ and ‘Madame JoJo’s’ competitons, and she was also in SKY 1′s ‘Got to Dance’ as well as ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Secrets’ resident Showgirl, Raven Noir, will also join the bill. Raven is a Graduate of the Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Course and a you could say she is a star pupil, after taking to the stage in 2012 she quickly became a well known and popular performer on the burlesque circuit and has since become an international performer when she undertook a 44 show engagement in Australia earlier this year. She can now boast performances in Italy and Paris, as well as an appearance on National television. See her debut a much anticipated BRAND NEW bed of nails act at Supernova this July...
No Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque event would be complete without a performance from its Founder and creator, Deadly Nightshade, an established Performer, Promoter, Pin up Model and Burlesque Tutor. Deadly has appeared on stages up and down the country for the past six years. Star of many Burlesque documentaries and publications, Deadly has featured in ‘Burlesque Bible’ as a recommended Burlesque Tutor, and she has also appeared on the TV with the BBC and Channel 4.
Our Boylesque this Summer is provided by none other than Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque regular and Personal Trainer, Sir Midnight Blues. Sir Midnight Blues shows us how boylesque and burlesque should be done. With his mix of strip tease and pole dance and a body to die for, he is a unique King of boylesque and he will be taking his pole dance INTO the audience this July as the stage just simply will not suffice for such an amazing act!
To complete the bill we have performances from Penny Feathers, a burlesque and cabaret dancer with over 5 years experience on the burlesque scene. Penny’s acts vary from comedy to cute cheesecake and she brings her bubbly and cheeky personality to Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque this July with her dynamic and energetic performances.
Our Compere for the evening will be winner of ‘Burlesque Idol’ 2012, Violet Blaze. A dynamic performer from Brighton, England, Violet brings life to the stage in a flash! With wit and charisma, Violet will surely humour you at Supernova this July where she will make her Compering debut! Having made her USA debut at the Pennsylvania Burlesque Festival and with shows booked in Barcelona and Paris, Violet is officially Blazing WorldWide!

Founded in March 2008 Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque has grown from a small show in a 100 capacity pub to the spectacle that it is today.
