Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque returns to The Leadmill this July with our premium sell-out Burlesque and Variety Show, ‘Supernova’.

We have V.I.P tables, cabaret tables and theatre style seating for that little extra touch of luxury, guaranteeing everyone in the audience a seat. In addition, anyone who purchases a ticket to the show will gain FREE ENTRY into The Leadmill club night after our Supernova event finishes.

 Our premium show takes place on Saturday the 12th July and has a stellar line-up full of the brightest stars in the Burlesque sky.

STARRING: 

ELIZA DELITE

Eliza DeLite has sky-rocketed since she first hit the stage in 2008. In 2012 she was crowned ‘Best British Female’ at the World Burlesque Games and has since gone on to perform internationally, including at high profile shows in Las Vegas, Milan, Stockholm, Rome, Switzerland, Istanbul and Berlin. She has established herself as one of the most in-demand performers on the UK circuit, headlining respectable shows across the country and overseas! Her classic Hollywood looks combined with stunning costumes and breathtaking choreography mean that Eliza is a firm favourite with lovers of classic and neo burlesque alike.

AL RUDGE

Al Rudge is one of the most original and bizarre acts to invade the magic and variety scene. His fast paced, razor wit and whirlwind approach to comedy magic has made him a hit. Al has played clubs, burlesque balls, parties, the streets and private functions from London to New York and never fails to leave the audience amazed and laughing. Whether it is, stand up, television or corporate, Al never fails to keep the audience laughing and applauding all the way. Al has opened for the likes of: Alan Carr, Lenny Henry, Jo Brand, Slade, Frost, Rolf Harris, Archie Kelly, John Hegley, Garry Delaney and many more familiar names of television and music.

SATINE DI MONTE

Satine Di Monte is a unique Burlesque Performer. Known for her tantalizing and dazzling acts with amazing costumes and choreography, Satine will certainly whisk you away into the wonderful world of Burlesque. Satine Di Monte has been performing since July 09 at various Burlesque revues shows, dance weekenders and private parties. 2010 saw Satine in the ‘UK’s Top 7 Best New Burlesque performers’ in both Delicious, Ministry of Burlesque and Madame JoJo’s competitons, and she was also in SKY 1′s ‘Got to Dance’ as well as ‘Britain’s Got Talent’!

RAVEN NOIR 

Raven Noir is a deliciously dark showgirl with a hint of gothic elegance, once described as the embodiment of old New Orleans. After taking to the stage in 2012 she quickly became a well known and popular performer on the burlesque circuit finally becoming international in 2014 when she undertook a 44 show engagement in Australia before becoming a hit in Paris. Raven prides herself on top class visually stunning costumes working closely with some of the best costumiers in the business. After appearing on National television, as well as winning numerous awards Raven Noir continues to wow audiences both nationally and internationally.

SIR MIDNIGHT BLUES 

A Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque regular, Personal Trainer, Sir Midnight Blues brings something a little bit different to the burlesque and variety scenes. Sir Midnight Blues shows us how boylesque and burlesque should be done. With his mix of strip tease and pole dance and a body to die for, he is a unique King of boylesque.

DEADLY NIGHTSHADE

Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque’s very own Founder and Performer, Deadly Nightshade, took to the stage in 2007. An established Performer, Promoter, Pin up Model and Burlesque Tutor, Deadly has appeared on stages up and down the country for the past six years. Star of many Burlesque documentaries and publications, Deadly has featured in ‘Burlesque Bible’ as a recommended Burlesque Tutor, and she has also appeared on the TV with the BBC and Channel 4.

PENNY FEATHERS

Penny Feathers is burlesque and cabaret dancer with over 5 years experience on the burlesque scene. Penny’s acts vary from comedy to cute cheesecake and she brings her bubbly and cheeky personality onto the stage with her dynamic and energetic performances. Compered by:

With a headlining acts fresh from The London Burlesque Festival and Australia plus a huge variety of Secrets regulars, this will be an event to remember!

Our headliner, Miss Odelia Opium grew bored of life in her German hometown of Lieblingen and so she ran away with the Midnight Circus. Now she knows that Victorian goodtime girls have more fun! Since 2011 she has performed at many renowned venues across London and the UK. Her unique, story-telling routines are sure to excite every audience and give you a history lesson of the sexy kind! This September she will bring a Seance to Secrets as well as a Chinese Ghost Wedding!

Australian burlesque performer, Ava Iscariot typically combines her innocent, blonde curled, cherubic appearance with a strikingly contrasting dark, deviant and feisty nature. Ava’s acts take on strong themes, narrative, imagery and pair with a rock and metal soundtrack. This combination has led to her being notoriously dubbed, ‘Shirley Temple on Jack Daniels’.

This Rock N Roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and smouldering gaze, not to mention the fact that she plays with fire! From a Hot Rod greaser-girl to a B movie Cobra Queen Scarlett Daggers’ acts certainly make her stand out from the crowd. SHE is also the creator of (and resident performer at) Nottingham’s biggest burlesque and cabaret show “The Gilded Merkin”, held every three months at the Glee Club.

Scarlett is bringing a debut act to Secrets this August called ‘Tiki Tiki Boom’ which will be a visually stunning Tiki-themed fire performance that you can see here at Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque first before anyone else!

Démontrant – from the French, meaning to demonstrate, prove, show, proclaim and reveal. Flixx Démontrant certainly lives up to his name, for he is one of many up-and-coming boylesque performers who are appearing on the burlesque and cabaret scene around the UK. But this is not just boylesque, Flixx is taking it to a new level, with his character based acts that are often dark and comedic with a rock & roll attitude.

A professional Burlesque Performer for nearly four years , Gloucestershire based Kitty has graced many a stage across the country including spots at Kinky and Quirky, Madame Jo Jo’s and The Missy Malone & Friends Revue. Last year she selected to perform at The World Burlesque Games in London and the year before she won the title of Miss Pandora for Pandora’s Box in Bournemouth. She has also been chosen this year as an ambassador for Miss Pin Up UK.

RAVEN NOIR

Raven is a Graduate of the Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Course and you could say, she is a star pupil. Having set foot on the stage for the first time at the beginning of 2012, Raven has already been a part of some of Britain’s most prestigious shows, performing in places such as Madame Jojo’s in London. Fast becoming a big name on the British Burlesque scene, Raven is going places and is soon to become an international starlet. This August, Raven will debut her much anticipated faberge egg act at Supernova so that Secrets fans can see it before anyone else!

Described as having “a voice to bewilder” by Sheffield Music Scene Magazine, Duke is classy, soulful and handsome with a cheeky charm that has made him a Secrets favourite and regular.  Duke fronts a seven piece Soul&Blues Review Band when he is not performing at Secrets, and the rest of his time is spent producing music as a debonair solo artist.

Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque launches its 'Premium Event' this year, an event which promises to showcase the best in British burlesque talent from all around the UK, and the line-up for our first show is no exception.

Our headliner won the title of 'Best Burlesque Performer' in the London Cabaret Awards 2012 and has been voted as one of the Top 30 Worldwide burlesque performers, as well as one of the Top 5 UK-based burlesque performers.  She is one of only seven UK performers to make the coveted 'Who's Who in Burlesque' in the international publication, 'Burlesque Bible.'  You know you are in for something really special when this performer is headlining the bill.  Time Out Magazine describes her as "Kick-ass burlesque triple-threat Kiki Kaboom - sexy, funny and smart", Kiki's shows are not to be missed!

Next on our bill is the divine Dolly Rose: A burlesque artist in high demand, Miss Dolly Rose is a resident performer at some of London‘s top cabaret venues, and has appeared at events such as Ministry of Burlesque’s High Tease and London Burlesque Festival.

Third on our delectable bill is dancing dream and Secrets show regular: Pansy Cheung.  Pansy is a highly skilled dancer and can choreograph a range of mesmerising pieces to suit any genre.  A skilled bellydancer, fan dancer and veil dancer: Pansy is Sheffield's finest and one of our resident dancers.

Up next is the 'Emerald Inferno' that is Miss Bruise Violet: Since storming onto the scene in 2010, Miss Bruise Violet has been thrilling audiences across London and the South ever since.  Originally from Sheffield, Bruise Violet has never actually performed at a Sheffield-based burlesque show...until now...

Fifth on our bill is the Ethereal Constance Peach, who first burst into the North East burlesque scene in July 2010 to rave reviews and many a dropped Jaw. Since then she has delighted many an audience nationally and internationally. With her striking imagery and seductive glare Constance embodies the classical grace of traditional burlesque combined with the modern avant garde influences of today. Constance is well known for her heavily adorned costumes, magnificent story telling, and powerful stage presence

Last, but by no means least is Secrets' very own 'man toy' Mr Duke O'Growl. Described as having “a voice to bewilder” by Sheffield Music Scene Magazine, Duke can boast that he has sang for Royalty, including Princes William and Harry, amongst his recent achievements.  Classy, soulful and handsome with a cheeky charm that has made him a Secrets favourite and regular.  He will growl into a microphone for your pleasure all night long...

Compered by Secrets' resident Compere...none other than 'the man in fishnets' Mr Warren Peace himself: From his early days in 1930’s Berlin, Warren Peace was recognised as the ultimate performer of risqué cabaret. Taking his influences from Victorian British music hall, chanson Francais, and French burlesque, Peace captivated the audiences of Weimar Berlin between the wars. After escaping Nazi Berlin, and following a world tour taking in New York, Paris and Prague, he returned to his Sheffield roots, seemingly younger than ever before. He can now been seen as resident compere at 'Secrets of the Boudiour Burlesque' and curator of the Cabaret tent at Gay Pride.

Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Does Oxjam

On October the 16th, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Does Oxjam at West Street Live, Sheffield, UK.

This year, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque has decided to become involved with Oxjam - Britain's largest music festival which aims to provide money for Oxfam. SotBB wants to bring lashings of burlesque into Oxjam and will be providing an event filled with just that, plus, plenty of cabaret, as well as the usual mix of striptease, vaudeville, comedy and dance.

It seems fitting to raise money for a charity which began in 1942 to provide relief for World War 2 civilians, and is currently helping to empower women in impoverished countries. To us, these two things are what burlesque is all about - era's gone by - especially post-wartime 1940's/50's, and the empowerment and liberation of women.

We just had to get involved!

With a record number of SotBB performers, and burlesque starlets from all across the country gracing our stage, our Oxjam event promises to be our biggest yet.

With vintage stalls, our BIGGEST EVER RAFFLE, and a prize for the best dressed guest, why not dress as glamorously as you possibly can and come along to help raise plenty of money for Oxfam?
