Because we enjoyed having 'The Vintage Salon' at our Christmas Grotto so much, we have brought them back to give glamorous vintage make-overs at 'Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies'!

We celebrate our third birthday on Sunday the 6th March with a movie-themed burlesque event! There will be burlesque, striptease, vaudeville, cabaret, comedy and a little bit of drag as well as cupcakes, jewelry, nipple tassles, fascinators and fabulous art work from Evie Farrah!

Get Hollywood glam in an attempt to win our 'best dressed guest' prize and come to visit the salon girls before the show begins. Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies

Roll out the red carpet because on Sunday the 6th March 2011, in celebration of our third Birthday, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque is taking you to the Movies... 

We will be playing out scenes from famous films all evening in a series of burlesque, dance and cabaret routines, whilst treating you to our very own original feature mid-show.

Our main feature runs from 8.00pm until midnight and we open our doors at 7.00pm, so be sure to arrive when doors open to secure your seat and to see all of our show!

Once inside our Grotto why not get yourselves to the bar and take advantage of West Street Live's fabulous drinks offers?  They have a fantastic range of spirits on offer all throughout the night.

Drink in hand, take time to have a leisurely stroll around the stalls within our Grotto.  You will see an array of glittering, colourful and mouth-wateringly delicious cupcakes on display from 'The Mad Hatters Cupcake Company'!  We will also have fabulous fascinator's on sale from 'Imogen's Imagination' and bespoke jewellery from 'The Dollhouse'!

Once you have gorged yourself on all of our delights, take the time to be truly pampered and visit 'The Vintage Salon' at the back of our Grotto.  The salon will be on hand to provide you with vintage make-up, hair, false lash application or a shiny new manicure to make sure your outfit is complete!  You provide your costume, The Vintage Salon will provide you with the make-up to compliment it!

We would suggest that you arrive at 7.00pm sharp so that you have the time to browse our stalls and pop into 'The Vintage Salon' before the fabulous burlesque, striptease, vaudeville, dance, cabaret and drag acts begin at 8.00pm!  The acts will run all evening from 8.00pm until 12.00 midnight with 15 minute intermissions in between each one!

Burlesque and Vintage Events in October

Hello darlings,

And welcome to the dark and cold month of October...

To keep you warm during this Autumn month we have a few little burlesque events to tide you over until the next Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque show which will be on the 5th December 2010.

The biggest event this month comes from SotBB's sister company 'Alluring Delights' who have ventured into the theatre to bring you a burlesque show filled with thrills and chills!  Make sure that you are nowhere else this Halloween as this will be a show to remember!  Come to The Library Theatre in Sheffield dressed in your best, your most horrific or your most terrifying and prepare to be taken on journey through "all things dark, weird, wonderful and sexy" on "a Hallows Eve that will not soon be forgotten".

Featuring SotBB's very own compere Mr. Warren Peace and a bucket load of your favourite SotBB performers....plus some new ones...this show takes you on a journey through Alison Wonder (played by Deadly Nightshade) and Little Cherry Red's (played by Cherry Du Bois) nightmares as their dreams begin to become real in this burlesque nightmare!  To find out more and to book your tickets, please visit http://www.alluringdelights.co.uk/.

If you are searching for something kitsch to wear during this cold month or you would like to find the perfect vintage outfit to parade around in at Alluring Delights' 'Halloween Thriller' then why not visit 'The Vintage Fair'?  This month the fair takes place in Leicestershire but will return to Sheffield very soon.  Whilst you are there you can wave 'hello' to Deadly Nightshade who is resident promo and pin up girl along with Lola Valentine who performed at the first ever SotBB show!

Taking place on the 9th October is Emily Strange's Oxjam Jim Jam which is a charity event featuring Warren Peace, Deadly Nightshade, Cherry Du Bois and Depravity Jane amongst a whole host of other performers and musicians.  This event takes place in 'Penelope's' under the Odeon and is sure to be a good 'un.

Vintage Goodies

Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque are pleased to welcome Scarlet Von Harlot, Imogen's Imagination and Depravity Jane to our June circus. They will be selling gorgeous vintage goodies from little stalls set up throughout our venue on 6th June.

Scarlet has been making 1940’s themed fascinators using vintage fabric, lace, brooches and beads for quite a few years now and you may have seen some of her wonderful creations in the Forum shops on Division Street.

Imogen's Imagination was founded in 2006 and makes a regular appearance at all SotBB shows. Their original range of bespoke fascinators had burlesque roots, but when Imogen's Imagination re-launched in 2008 they began to create head wear for any occasion, be it a burlesque show or a wedding!

Depravity Jane, the original SotBB burlesque cowgirl has performed at almost every single one of our shows and this one will be no exception! She will be winning your hearts with a snake themed striptease on 6th June and afterwards, she will be manning a stall full of her very own burlesque goodies and vintage clothing! Stop by to buy a dress that Jane once wore!
