So much to celebrate at Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque this Sunday!

In celebration of the Oscars last Sunday, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque is taking you to the movies this Sunday!  


The 83rd Academy Awards took place on February 27, 2011 at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, and our 3 year Anniversary takes place on March 6th, 2011 at West Street Live in urm...well...Sheffield.

Allow us to plunge you into a world of Burlesque-Movie-Madness as you walk down our red carpet and into the decadent world of 'Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies' this Sunday!

We will be dishing out FREE candy upon arrival and when our feature begins, we will be selling boxes of popcorn!

Doors open at 7.00pm and once inside our venue, we suggest you take a walk on over to 'The Vintage Salon' and treat yourselves to a Hollywood manicure, hairstyle, or even a complete vintage make-over!  There will plenty of time for you to get a good vintage pampering before our show begins at 8.00pm!  To avoid disappointment, why not book into the salon in advance by emailing info@lekeuxevents.co.uk, or calling 01788 562374!

Not only are we celebrating THREE WHOLE years of Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque, which began in March 2008, but Sunday's show also sees Duke O'Growl celebrating his first birthday with us!  It was one whole year ago that Duke O'Growl was born onto the cabaret scene, starting out at our show back in March 2010!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUKE AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY US!

Once you have been pampered, filled yourselves with sweet treats and wished us a 'Happy Birthday', sit back and enjoy the show!  With famous scenes from movie screens being played out in the most sexy and hilarious ways possible you will be sure to enjoy our event.  Appearances from The Silk Spectre, Jack Sparrow, Lady Penelope and James Bond will occur throughout the evening!  As well as Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque's very own mid-feature Movie called 'The Detective, The Diamond Thief, The Corrupt Cop and The Daring Deliquent' starring Duke O'Growl, Deadly Nightshade, Cherry Du Bois and Scarlet Noir!

Cupcakes fit for a Queen!

Mad Hatters Cupcake Company are designing exclusive 'Movie themed' cupcakes for our next event, 'Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies', taking place on the 6th March. 


The Hatter's are a cake makers and decorators based in Barnsley, they have a range of 30 different flavours and delightful fillings to choose from and it's not just the frosting that has the flavour in a Mad Hatters cupcake, it is the whole cake!  Famed for their 'Belly Buster' cakes - a giant cupcake filled with delicious cakey goodness - Mad Hatters don't do pleasure lightly!  Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque organiser, Deadly Nightshade, was treated to a huuuge 'Belly Buster' cake during 'Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Falls in Love' last year.  Made with original recipie 'Sailor Jerry's' rum and topped with lashings upon lashings of purple glitter icing it was a dream come true for Deadly, even more so, when fellow performer and 'Secrets' regular, Depravity Jane decided to rub it all over her body during a saucy routine!

Not only do they make the best cakes Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque have ever tasted, they also favour local products and try to keep their carbon foot print down during their magic cake making sessions!  Mad Hatter's will only use local produce: their flour comes from a local mill, eggs are fresh from their local farm as is all of their fruit!  Anything they cannot buy locally - like sugar and cocoa, they buy fair trade!  All of Mad Hatter's cases and boxes are recycled and are recyclable and as far as we know, they are the only Cupcake company to offer gluten free and wheat free scrummy goodness.

This March, Mad Hatters are cooking up magical movie treat for 'Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies': they will be baking a huge movie themed cake and donating it to our raffle.  That is all the information they will give us, because they want the cake to be a surprise!  We cannot wait to find out what it will be!  Join us on Sunday the 6th March at West Street Live in Sheffield to see what is in store from Mad Hatters Cupcake Company!  Details of our show can be found at www.secretsoftheboudoirburlesque.com/events.

Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque Goes to the Movies

Roll out the red carpet because on Sunday the 6th March 2011, in celebration of our third Birthday, Secrets of the Boudoir Burlesque is taking you to the Movies... 

We will be playing out scenes from famous films all evening in a series of burlesque, dance and cabaret routines, whilst treating you to our very own original feature mid-show.

Our main feature runs from 8.00pm until midnight and we open our doors at 7.00pm, so be sure to arrive when doors open to secure your seat and to see all of our show!

As you walk into our Winter Wonderland you will be greeted by gorgeous girls in corsets and stockings handing you candy canes, chocolate coins and lollypops from a cigarette tray!  What a sweet treat!

Once inside our Grotto why not get yourselves to the bar and take advantage of West Street Live's fabulous drinks offers?  They have a fantastic range of spirits on offer all throughout the night.

Drink in hand, take time to have a leisurely stroll around the stalls within our Grotto.  You will see an array of glittering, colourful and mouth-wateringly delicious cupcakes on display from 'The Mad Hatters Cupcake Company'!  We will also have fabulous fascinator's on sale from 'Imogen's Imagination' and bespoke jewellery from 'The Dollhouse'!

Once you have gorged yourself on all of our delights, take the time to be truly pampered and visit 'The Vintage Salon' at the back of our Grotto.  The salon will be on hand to provide you with vintage make-up, hair, false lash application or a shiny new manicure to make sure your outfit is complete!  You provide your costume, The Vintage Salon will provide you with the make-up to compliment it!

We would suggest that you arrive at 7.00pm sharp so that you have the time to browse our stalls and pop into 'The Vintage Salon' before the fabulous burlesque, striptease, vaudeville, dance, cabaret and drag acts begin at 8.00pm!  The acts will run all evening from 8.00pm until 12.00 midnight with 15 minute intermissions in between each one!
